First test day for Kimi in Le Castellet

Kimi Räikkönen took the work to test for Ferrari at the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castellet today. While his team mate Felipe Massa worked on the set up for the Monaco Grand Prix on Tuesday and Wednesday, Kimi concentrated himself on the prepartion for the North American races.

Today, Kimi Räikkönen completet a total of 50 laps on the 5.255 kilometre long track version 1E V2, that used characteristics of medium and fast tracks. Kimi worked on finding the best set-up, comparing the different types of tyre provided by Bridgestone and on development of some mechanical and aerodynamic components. The Finn was fastest today ahead of Scott Speed after setting a lap time of 1:28.833 minutes. However, due to some electronic problems he had to finish he work sooner than planned.

Testing at the circuit continues tomorrow, again with Kimi Räikkönen on track.
