Kimi continues test work in Monza

Today, Kimi Räikkönen continued with the test work behind the wheel of his Ferrari F2007 in preparation for the forthcoming Italian Grix in Monza. At the end of the day the Finn drove the fifth fastest lap time.

The program of Kimi and the Ferrari Team consisted again in the finding of the best set-up for the F2007 on this circuit and on development of new aerodynamic and mechanical solutions for the forthcoming Italian Grand Prix, that takes place at this track on 9th September. Kimi completed a total of 59 laps for that at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza and set in 1:23.773 minutes the fifth fastest time. With that he was 0.618 seconds slower than Fernando Alonso, who was fastest in his McLaren Mercedes with a time of 1:23.155 minutes.

The Ferrari team continues testing at this circuit tomorrow, when Kimi's teammate Felipe Massa will be on track.
