Good second test day at Jerez

Kimi Räikkönen continued the test work with the new Ferrari F2008 in the Spanish Jerez today. In comparision to Monday he could improve a little and experienced a working day without problems.

Today, the weather allowed a smooth sequence of operations already from the early morning. Together with his teammate Felipe Massa, Kimi worked on the development of the Ferrari F2008 as well as on evaluating various set-up changes at the car. The program also provided some practice starts without traction control. Up to the end of the day the Finn completed a total of 90 laps and set in 1:19.708 minutes the third fastest time. But his gap on Fernando Alonso, who was fastest driver of the day with a time of 1:19.503 minutes, was only 0.205 seconds. Felipe Massa achieved a lap time of 1:19.772 minutes what meant the fifth place in the time sheet.

Kimi and Felipe will finish the three day test at Jerez tomorrow.
