Today,
Kimi Räikkönen finished a three day test with the Ferrari F2008
at the Jerez circuit in southern Spain. Despite changeable weather
conditions the Finn experienced an easy and productive day again.
Kimi
brought to an end the development work planned for this session on
the new F2008 which centred mainly on learning about the new car,
the electronics, the quest for reliability and some initial set-up
evaluation. Kimi completed a total of 88 laps today and drove in
1:20.646 minutes the eighth fastest time of the day. His gap on
Timo Glock, who set in 1:19.799 minutes the fastest lap time, was
0.847 seconds. However, the Finn could convince at the damp track
conditions in the morning, when he was partly a second faster than
all his competitors.
Kimi
already will be back in action next week in Valencia, when test
work starts on 22nd of January.
