Today was the first day of testing this week for Kimi Räikkönen and his teammate Felipe Massa, working at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in the Spanish Valencia. Until Thursday both of them will check the performance of the Ferrari F2008.

With the exception of Super Aguri, all Formula One teams were in action on track today to prepare their cars for the forthcoming season. Kimi and Felipe worked mainly on general development of the F2008 and on finding the best set-up on the cars, which ran all day without any technical problems. Kimi completed a total of 100 laps and set in 1:12.721 minutes the second fastest time of the day. With that he had a gap of 0.539 seconds on his teammate Felipe Massa, who was fastest with a lap time of 1:12.182 minutes.

Testing continues at this circuit tomorrow, again with Kimi and Felipe on track.
