Together with his team mate Felipe Massa, Kimi Räikkönen continued today the test work started yesterday at the Grand Prix race track of Barcelona to prepare for the start of the 2008 season in almost three weeks.

The weather conditions improved noticeably - particularly with regard to the weather yesterday morning - with a dry track right from the beginning. Kimi mainly worked on the further development in the area of aerodynamics as well as on more general work on the setup, the reliability and the preparation of the setup to be used in the races. For this plan the Finn completed a total of 72 laps and at this he set in 1:21.722 minutes the third fastest lap time of the day. His gap on the two McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen, who were placed on top of the time sheets, was 0.488 or 0.288 seconds respectively. Kimi's team mate Felipe Massa, who succesfully completed a full race simulation today, achieved the fifth place with a time of 1:22.513 minutes.

Kimi and Felipe will be back on track tomorrow for the final day of testing prior to the start of the 2008 championship.
