There
is no respite for the Formula 1 teams who, less than forty eight
hours after the end of the British Grand Prix, were back in action
at Hockenheim for the first of three days of testing.
Kimi
Raikkonen took to the track today for Scuderia Ferrari. The
reigning World Champion and, along with Felipe Massa and Lewis
Hamilton, leader of the 2008 series, had a programme centred on
set-up work in preparation for the German Grand Prix which takes
place at this track on 20th July.
The
Finn also evaluated new aerodynamic and mechanical components. The
day's work was held up by rain which fell intermittently up to
four in the afternoon. Raikkonen completed a total of 63 laps, the
quickest in a time of 1:15.803, making him the second-fastest
driver of the session.
The
Scuderia continues testing at this circuit tomorrow, with
Raikkonen again on track.
