Kimi
Raikkonen was back behind the wheel of the Ferrari F60 this
morning, on the fourth and penultimate day of testing for Scuderia
Ferrari and seven other teams gathered at the Jerez de la Frontera
circuit in southern Spain.
In
the morning the sky was grey, but the track remained dry; as
foreseen the rain started falling just before 1pm.
Fortunately
Raikkonen had the opportunity to drive several kilometres with the
tyres suited for a dry track. 71 laps were accomplished before the
lunch break, including a fastest lap of 1:20.250 which set him as
today's second fastest driver, 0.305 seconds off Fernando Alonso's
Renault.
After
the lunch break there was a problem with the hydraulic system that
took the mechanics quite a while to fix. Once it was sorted, Kimi
went back on track and worked on endurance with several long
stints; overall 105 laps were completed today. The Finn's first
impressions of the car's behaviour were positive indeed, although
there is still a lot of work to do before the start of the season
begins in a few weeks.
Kimi
will be on track for the Scuderia again tomorrow.
